About Dr. Oz.

Dr. Mehmet C. Oz is host of “The Dr. Oz Show” and Vice-Chair and Professor of Surgery at Columbia University. He directs the Cardiovascular Institute and is a founder and director of the Complementary Medicine Program at New York Presbyterian Hospital. Dr. Oz's research interests include heart replacement surgery, minimally invasive cardiac surgery, complementary medicine and health care policy. He is the author and coauthor of more than 400 original publications, book chapters, abstracts and books, including YOU: The Smart Patient. His books YOU: Staying Young, YOU: The Owner's Manual and YOU: On a Diet have appeared on The New York Times best-sellers list. He performs 250 heart operations annually.
