I have had Dr. Ammazzalorso as my physician since 1997 and have found him to very honest in diagnosing and treating not only my ailments but all my family members including parents. He honestly recommends specialists based on each of our personalities. If there is a special reward to be given he is the doctor to receive it.
When my son needed heart surgery, I thought UnitedHealthcare was going to force me to pick a hospital that I didn’t want to go to… When I talked to Rose (UnitedHealthcare case manager) and she asked which hospital I wanted to go to, I said I really didn’t know, so she brought up the list of centers of excellence and showed me the top hospitals that were covered by United… I didn’t really look at it because my assumption was that it was a hospital that was not in our best interest. I would spend about three hours every night doing tons of research, first to find out about the condition my son had…. then I looked for the top hospitals... And I thought just for giggles, I’m going to compare my list to Rose’s...I thought UnitedHealthcare’s list would be different from mine, but when I compared them, what I found is that the top 10 hospitals in the U.S. were in our network…. That is when a ton of stress got alleviated. I could see that UnitedHealthcare was really trying to partner with me.
Dr. Michael Christopher Short is a young and amazingly friendly doctor! He treated my condition well and provided an abundance of information on how to prevent a recurrence while keeping my cost to a minimum. I would highly recommend Dr. Short to anyone searching for a Family Practice doctor in the area!
In choosing a new doctor I decided to rely on your star ratings. I have always looked for ways get a "good buy" for my employer's dollar but have never quite hit upon a medical provider who I felt was as competent as they should be, especially in keeping up with nutrition, drug interaction, recent general medical research and a holistic approach to good health...until today.
